SHORT DESCRIPTION

GPSAvvvd.aaa COBOL System Analysis and Documentation Package
System Requirements
====================
xx-DOS 3.3 +, 640K RAM, Hard Disk Drive, CGA Monitor
LONG DESCRIPTION
=================
The General Purpose System Analyzer (GPSA) is a comprehensive COBOL
system analysis and documentation package. All reports and facilities
are designed to support current maintenance activities, such as impact
analysis, system understanding, documentation, quality assurance, and
source code evolution.
Professional programmers working on mainframe COBOL systems will find
GPSA an indispensable tool for maintaining and enhancing systems.
With GPSA, all source code (programs and copybooks) for an application
system or sub-system is loaded into a repository called an Omni-
Relational Model or ORM. The ORM provides a complete cross-reference
of all system components (ie, programs, copybooks, data-names,
paragraphs) and their interrelationships.
System components are viewed through nine interactive review screens:
All Members, References To Member, References From Member, All Data-
Names, Data Definitions, Data References, All Paragraph-Names,
Paragraph References, and Procedure Lines.
Interactive components inquiries are accomplished by transferring
between review screens. For example:
All Members --> References To Member - provides a program and
copybook cross-reference.
With GPSA, 26 system-wide reports are available for analyzing and
documenting selected COBOL source members or complete application
systems. Extensive report and printer options provide flexible reports
that match a wide variety of system inquiries.
Reports include: Call and Copy Cross-Reference, References to Data-
Name, Associated Data-Names, References to Paragraph, Data-Names
Referenced Within Paragraph, Control Statements in Member, Member
Perform Hierarchy Chart, Data-names Referenced Within Member,
References to All Data-Names in Member, Selected Data-Names, Selected
Paragraph-Names, Selected Verbs, Hard-Coded Record Definitions.
